  • "I'm not really sure what the negative reviews are about. The cocktail was incredible, and the mushroom bao buns were literally the best meal I've had the entire year. The sauce was unbelievable. I don't even like mushrooms usually, but these were crispy and phenomenal. The staff were super sweet and friendly and made my 13 hour drive to Homer 100% worth it. Maybe next time I come down you guys will have more vegetarian options? :) thanks for everything"

  • "Great dining, creatively imagined, reasonably priced, and beautifully presented! We were recommended to try this restaurant by our pilot on our bear viewing trip - he just said it’s good and it’s different. Well, he was right on both accounts. We had the smoked salmon and steamed halibut along with some shrimp dumplings and seaweed salad. The smoked salmon was not dry like sometimes happens when it is smoked, but tender, very flavorful, generous in size,, and served with a delicious accompaniment of smoked peppers, a very generous serving of brie and a sweet and fruity jam, and bread. The halibut was delicious and was served with steamed potatoes and broccoli. We used some of the soy sauce and chili served with the dumplings to spice up the halibut and it was phenomenal. This has been, by far, the best restaurant we have dined in on our trip. The blending of asian themes with traditional seafood works spectacularly and we’ll be back to try some more dishes!"

Cocktails were divine. 10/10, will be back again. Excellent service too! But really the crawfish and grits was THE BEST. Do not pass it up."

  • "Updated from my last review. We came here on Valentine's '23. Despite not having a reservation the staff went out of their way to accommodate our party of three. The new Cajun menu has a spectrum of offerings. I opted to order the Kale salad and crabs cakes (special) just before the other two of my party arrived. The service was quick and my wife and son began devouring the two dishes when they arrived. We had the Gumbo on dirty rice family style and finished off with the bananas foster. I had the Nord somthing-or-other and wife had the Loki whatchamacallit. I liked hers better but mine was good too. An aromatic rusty nail. Hers a fancy vodka cranberry. My former complaints about bland food was not an issue with our meal tonight and staff was stellar. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service. Already eyeing the burger for next time. Keep it up Kannery! Thanks for the great evening."

  • "We have eaten at The Kannery (Green Can) numerous times since they opened in 2022, and it has always been great. They regularly rotate their menu with new and exciting things. They just started with a creole menu, and their crawfish & grits was quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever eaten. The grits were cheesy, creamy, & smooth. The crawfish were perfect, and the sauce over everything was spectacular. If you’re looking for an amazing dining experience in Homer, you’ll find it here."

  • "I've been a couple times and this place has become our new go to spot for all occasions. Meeting friends or for date night. The main reason being that the food is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. View is top notch. Everything I've tried was like shaking hands with Jesus. Looking forward to trying everything."

  • "Best service that i have ever had in a restaurant - the staff was so kind. We had to wait a little bit for a table but we were checked on multiple times with updates and to make sure that we had everything we needed. After working in the service industry for 10+ years i cannot tell you how much i appreciated this. Also, THE FOOD, it was delicious!!! The cocktails unique, fun, and so tasty. This will be our Homer go to restaurant from now on."
